How to Cancel Your Disney+ Subscription

Cancel Disney+ in minutes on web, iPhone, Android, or through your TV provider. Includes what happens to your watchlist and whether you can get a refund.

Disney+ starts at $7.99/month for the ad-supported tier and $13.99/month ad-free. Cancelling is straightforward if you subscribed directly, but Disney+ is also sold through TV providers, Apple, Google, and Roku — and each has a different cancellation process. Using the wrong method will leave you being charged. Here's how to identify where your subscription is managed and cancel in the right place.

1

How to Cancel Disney+ on the Website

Go to disneyplus.com and sign in. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner and select "Account". Under the "Subscription" section, click "Cancel Subscription". Disney may offer a discounted rate to stay — decline it if you want to fully cancel. Your access continues until the end of the billing period. Note: if the "Cancel Subscription" button is missing or replaced with a link to another service, your subscription is managed by a third party. Disney+ will tell you which platform to contact.

2

How to Cancel Disney+ Through Apple, Google, or Roku

On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Disney+ → Cancel Subscription. On Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Disney+ → Cancel. On Roku: Settings → Subscriptions → Disney+ → Cancel subscription. If you subscribed through Amazon Channels, go to amazon.com → Account → Memberships & Subscriptions → Disney+ → Cancel Channel. Always cancel through the platform where you originally subscribed — cancelling on the Disney+ website will not stop charges that go through Apple or Google.

Bundled Plans: Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+

If you subscribe to the Disney Bundle (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+), cancelling Disney+ directly cancels the entire bundle — not just the Disney+ component. If you want to keep Hulu but drop Disney+, you need to sign up for Hulu as a standalone service instead. You can do this before cancelling the bundle to avoid any gap in access. Downgrading from the premium bundle to a cheaper tier (e.g., from ad-free to ad-supported) is possible from Account settings and does not cancel your subscription.

4

Refund Policy and What Stays After Cancellation

Disney+ does not offer refunds for partially used billing periods. Your access continues until the end of the month or year you paid for. Your watchlist, continue-watching progress, and profile preferences are saved for up to 16 months after cancellation. If you resubscribe within that window, everything is restored. After 16 months, Disney+ permanently deletes your profile data.
